George Savill : Arrangement

George Savill is a contemporary New Zealand artist renowned for his bold and expressive paintings.

With a penchant for repurposing old frames, Savill’s compositions spill out of the picture plane, creating a sense of freedom and movement.

In this new series of floral works – peonies, hydrangeas, myrtle, poppies and clover, are just some of the flowers he has incorporated into this exhibition. His innovative approach to composition pushes the boundaries of traditional still-life paintings.

Arrangement is Savill’s first exhibition with ARTIS Gallery.
