“The two works in my exhibition ‘All the Things’ and ‘Bright and Early' developed after the wonderful experience of picking Saffron locally.
Every day for eight weeks of the year, one to two thousand crocus flowers pop up and threestigmas threads are picked from each one. These are then dried to produce the most amazing spice – Saffron has an incredible smell and taste, which lead to my burning desire
to paint.”
