I am a first generation Kiwi. I am a genetic combination of several cultures, but most prominently British, Irish and Croatian. My parents and grandparents travelled from those countries and settled in New Zealand. 

Using the National animal/bird from each of those countries, I'm playing with the idea of genealogy and how our unique combination of DNA creates the individual we are. The work is a puzzle which can be joined in any combination to create a 'New' creature from its parts!

Using patina colours which represent each country I have created a 'flag' of sorts to represent me and to unify the work.
