Cornish’s areas of interest are reflected in her sculpture; geology, natural history, world history, particularly the Neolithic and Egyptian societies. Cornish ascribes human form and attributes to a being or thing not human. She often explores ancient forms, symbols and motifs, particularly with reference to the Temple form which has been one of the re-occurring motifs over the past years. There is a wide spectrum within the context of the work ranging from table top, personal sculpture, to large room-sized multi-part installations.
