Richard Mathieson studied sculpture under Greer Twiss and Christine Hellyar at Elam School of Fine Arts and became a member of the New Zealand Medallion Group in 1999. As well as making sculpture Richard runs ‘Install Art’ – an art and object installation business, he curates sculpture exhibitions and teaches sculpture programmes for the ‘Artists in Schools’ programme.
